
Baroness Hanham lives in Kensington and is a councillor of Royal Borough of the Kensington & Chelsea and was Leader of the Council from 1989 - 2000. The Baroness was instrumental in the setting up of ADKC in 1981 and has held a very active involvement in the charity since then.
During Baroness Hanham's distinguished career she has been a member of the Mental Health Act Commission, non-executive director of the North West Thames Regional Health Authority, vice-president of the Commonwealth Institute, a director of London First and Governor of both the Sir John Cass Foundation and the Sir John Cass Primary School. She is a Conservative member of the House of Lords and Opposition Spokesperson for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
Baroness Hanham is Chairman of St Mary's NHS Trust; she was made a Life Peer in 1999 and is a Freeman of the City of London.
